Connecticut Fund for the Environment and Save the Sound have been protecting Connecticut's natural resources for 30 years. CFE and Save the Sound  bring together legal and scientific expertise with the support of  thousands of citizens to achieve real, lasting results to protect the land, air and water of our state. In 2008, with your help, we blocked Broadwater, made Connecticut a national leader in fighting global warming, stopped corporate polluters who were dumping toxic waste into five rivers, protected land from overdevelopment, and lobbied for increased funding for Department of Environmental Protection staffing.

As we look toward the future, we see the challenges on the horizon. Alternate fuel sources, sustainable buildings, improvements in recycling, reducing planetary heating.  It's going to get busy around here...
